“ Literally an In N Out dupe in the best way!! I had a burger and fries - simple and tasty. ”
“ Sometimes you just crave a burger, but when you're a vegetarian, it's harder to find a place that has a plant-based burger. I like ordering from SALT as it's fairly close by, gets delivered quickly, and their food travels remarkably well. I've never eaten there, only ordered for delivery. They have a simple menu, but that is one of its strengths. I always order the Impossible burger without cheese. When it arrives, the SALT sauce can be a bit drippy but it doesn't make the bun soggy. The burger is always flavorful and really hits the spot. I typically order the fries or the onion rings (sometimes both if I'm feeling crazy) and it always astonishes me how well they travel. The to go containers never get really fogged up making them soggy, so they're perfectly hot and crispy when they arrive. I wish the onion rings had a bit more to them, but they're good in general. The fries are perfect. I ordered from them again last night through GrubHub and despite order the regular fries, they gave me fuego fries, which has cheese and jalapeno on them: something I can't eat. Luckily I got a refund on the fries but was bummed to not get what I ordered and having to toss perfectly good food. Despite that, they'll still remain in my regular rotation. Now if y'all could offer some milkshakes... ”
“ I'd never been here before, but the staff were really helpful with my questions. Coupling that with a small and solid menu, this place is great. I'm always happy to see vegetarian or non-beef options offered at a burger place, and the Impossible was great! I was able to get a family-size meal without breaking the bank, and the food genuinely tasted good. Small restaurant doesn't really lend itself much to a 'hang out and eat' vibe, but getting it to go was just as good. ”
“ So I'm always looking for a good burger joint. It's unusual that's I find one I haven't heard of though. This one popped up tonight on a search and I thought it was a mistake. Taking up the old IDOF space on Sheridan, this newish place is a solid spot for burgers. Honestly the burger I had (a double with everything plus peppers) is one of the best I've had in forever. The patties were seasoned perfectly and it has the exact right amount of crisp on the edges. The bun at first seemed like it was going to be too small, but it actually worked perfect and the griddling gave it an awesome texture. We also got the ghost pepper onion rings, and they were great. Now be advised that this is real heat and not a tiny bit...but worth it. And this is a Coke restaurant, which is nice. The space is cute with a playful vibe. Love the astronaut painting. And the service was fast and super friendly. Had and shoulders above a place like Five Guys across the board. That is with one exception. The only thing I wasn't super happy with was my regular fries. For a place called SALT, there was none on the fried. That being said, textual they were absolutely bang on. Crispy outside with a soft inside. But I wish that there had just been some seasoning. Regardless of that misstep, this place is a banger for burgers. ”
“ Salt was so unexpectedly good. It is very unassuming on the Loyola campus and when we stumbled upon it, the place was empty. I'm so glad that we found it though. The prices are so reasonable and the food is just so good. The fries were golden and crispy and although I didn't get a burger, my boyfriend was obsessed with his. I will definitely be coming back to try the burgers. ”
“ New location by Loyola university! Overall 7.5/10 on the burgers. A little be salty () and they felt like small portions (even the double cheeseburger) compared to other burger places. The sauce is nice and it was well compressed. Salt fries 6/10, could be thicker and crispier. The space is not too big and easily get overcrowded. I love the self service kiosks! I have seen this place on social media a lot so I expected more. Would come back if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. ”
